Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my website. I’m Kathryn Santa—proud mom to a wonderful son and three sweet rescue dogs. My love for photography began when I was just 16 years old, and it has grown right alongside my professional career as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.
For over 25 years, I’ve worked as a physical therapist, specializing in pediatrics for the past 18 years. Much of my experience has been with newborns through three-year-olds, and years of hands-on practice have given me a deep level of comfort and confidence in handling and positioning even the tiniest babies. I use only safe, gentle techniques, backed by extensive training in newborn handling and positioning.
Working with children—especially those with special needs—has taught me patience, empathy, and how to bring out genuine joy. These skills translate beautifully into my photography. My background in physical therapy and my passion for capturing meaningful moments truly feel like a match made in heaven.
I absolutely adore the innocence of children and love photographing them just as they are—playing, laughing, and fully present in the moment. Newborn photography, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. I cherish the process of creating timeless images that families will treasure forever.
I’ve been fortunate to mentor with some of the world’s top newborn photographers, including the incredible Nicole Smith Photography and Dewdrops Photography by Amy McDaniel, which has further refined my artistry and safety-focused approach.
My private, in-home studio is designed with comfort in mind. I know how challenging it can be to leave the house with a new baby, so my goal is to make your experience as relaxing as possible. Feel free to put your feet up, watch some TV, enjoy a snack, or even take a well-deserved nap while I take care of the rest.
